Our base near Venice on the Riviera del Brenta is a world-renowned home for shoe-making skill. The wider world never knew, but for decades many of the world’s most coveted brands have come to us to realise their most beautiful footwear designs. For generations, we played host to the world’s most talented shoe-makers and craftspeople.

Or as the French say, “savoir faire”. Craft, in its truest sense, is just another word for excellence and beauty. The region we work from in north-eastern Italy is generations-deep in real artisanal shoemaking know-how, the saviour faire that’s the core of the luxury industry. Remember: today’s “technology” is tomorrow’s “craft”.

For us, it’s a constant dialogue between the designer’s eye and the hand of the artisan. Similarly, we see the dualities as mutual rather than oppositional: Heritage and innovation; instinct and intellect, tradition and relevance. It goes back to our core tenet: “Small steps, epic journey.”
